Lord Howe Island

Recently I was lucky to enjoy a week on above island less than 2 hours flight
time in an easterly direction from both Brisbane and Sydney.
It is
World Heritage listed and very exclusive in terms of only 400 people allowed
on the island to avoid undue pressure on the fragile environment.
Whether your interest is photography, fishing, walking, snorkling, chatting,
reading, fine dining , visiting an excellent historical museum, seeing how
the famous Kentia palms are cultivated, there is something for all.
We stayed with the Wilson family (second time now) and received the same
"family reunion" welcome like all guests do.
It is the sort of place that people just want to return to.

They have just the best location
accomodation
on the island I feel just a few hundred metres from dining, jetty,
snorkling, and access to all north of the island features like Ned's Beach
hand feeding of fish, Old settlement Beach turtles, North Bay walk, Gulch
fishing, Wreck of the Catalina Flying boat, Island Tradera unloading, etc

Carina is
the new 38 foot Stebercraft powered by 2X 300 hp Diesels so getting to
Ball's Pyramid is but an hour or so away.

Keith is the obliging skipper and if possible try to advise booking early
and try to get a party of 6 or so like minded family or friend fishers
together to target the type of fishing you desire ie trolling , jigging,
bait, saltwater fly etc 6hrs goes very quickly here.

More later as I add my own photos.
