Bait/Lure Scarcity
Svängsta spinnaren
Infomation and actual bait bought and given to me by good friend
and ABU expert (which is my opinion) Uffe Edefuhr in Sweden. Photos
from part of
his
collection ended up in Simon Shimomura's
excellent books. I am in great company.
Thanks so much Uffe!
The Svängsta Spinnaren is just amazing, One person made the scales by
hand with a tool !!!!!!
Not one of this baits look the same as the others!!!!
Very unique! And extremely collectable.
The Svangsta Spinnaren should have an old red feather hook, the one with silver
foil on the body of the hook!
I wonder if any other old baits were made or finished by hand. I would
love to hear from you if you can throw some light on this matter. (Wayne)
Thanks to Bo from Denmark!
You say you'd like to know of any other
lures finished by hand...
Some other early lures in color Z were
finished by hand i.e. the golden stribes on the lures featured on Facette
and ABU-Spinnaren and maybe one or two other lures. (any
pictures available please??)
But I don't recall any others with the hand made scale markings as on
the Svängsta-Spinnaren on your link, so that could very well be one of a
kind.

Bo

MY COLLECTION OF LURES started off very small.

If you have any other lures, that are un-needed or
doubles in your collection and are available for
swapping
or a reasonable fee, I would be
very pleased to hear from you.
