About My ABU Friend's Fishing

I think Wayne M sent you pics of the fish w/ my ABU Revo. 

I caught the Paddletail catfish,  using an ABU Revo Winch, w/ 10lb Gamma line.  I really like that new reel. 

I caught it on Friday, 4/10/09 around 3pm eastern time.  

When I hooked the fish I knew I had a hold of no ordinary fish.  It meant business! 

It took me close to an hour to finally land it. 

I did not have a net with me.  By the time I got to the end of the fight there was 3 other boats gathered round to see the giant fish.  

One of the men in the other boat helped me land it. 

I was a 1/4 of a mile away from where I hooked her.  My arm hurt for the next 2 days! 

Never will forget that fish, wish I could have weighed it.  The brute would have probably been a state record.

I do have a long term interest in using ABU reels.  I am 28 yrs old and my goal is to become a pro bass fisherman.  ABU is my reel of choice.  I think they are second to none.  I want to try and get a sponsorship w/ ABU but not got in contact with the right person yet.  I have never used old ABU lures.  I will try to get some better photos of the fish and reel.  Had to take the pics w/ cell phone but will try to enhance the pics.
